More passion, Marcy, AND more backbone. What a bunch of pantsies we keep electing to the GOP. Where are our representatives with conservative principles and the spine to stick to their values ... the principles they promised to uphold for their constituents when they were elected?

I phoned Rep. Wilson's office this morning to thank him for calling out the Prez for misrepresenting what's in the health care reform proposal. You can too: 202-225-245.

Rep Wilson is my new hero. His outcry "You lie!" was a passionate outburst. There is only so much a human can take. And Lady Patriot is so very right. Democrats are routinely ill mannered and rude to Republicans, as if being Republican means you're a lesser form of life. Civility is just another cudjal to beat us up. The bullies in the room are the Democrats, who use government power to keep everything their way from running GM to the network news, the state owned media as Rush calls it. If they could get away with it, Fox news would be history. Bravo Rep Wilson!!! I'd like to see more passion from Republicans in Congress, lots more. It's about time.

But it's perfectly acceptable for ALL Democrat members of Congress to stand, jeer, boo (and 'high five' each other) when G. Bush had the NERVE to tell them Social Security required immediate reform - at his 2007 State of the Union address.

BTW Obama's speech last night was not a State of The Union address, nor was it to address a real emergency. How could it be an 'emergency' if his health care reform plan doesn't START for 4 years?? Instead, his speech to both Houses was an unashamedly transparent ploy to get some more free 'face time'

I admit when I heard it was a South Carolina congressman, my first thought was, what is it with folks in South Carolina. They don't seem to get along with presidents. Now, granted on this issue, I'm thinking the gentleman from South Carolina is indeed representing the views of the majority of Americans against the president. (Instead of just a few rowdy Southerners.) Please know I say this as a Texan and life-long Southerner. (Wouldn't have it any other way!) It might not have been the best time for Mr. Wilson to speak up, but I'm glad he did. I wish he had said something to the effect of he should have said it to the president's face, instead of saying it the way he did.
